Billiken Models: Kharis the Living Mummy

Released by Billiken  in the late 1980's these kits have amazing detail. Created in vinyl. Paintwork by me. Issued without bases of any sort, I mounted the figure to a wood platform and had a nametag made.

In the 1960's Kharis got all the love where marketing was concerned. These days he is passed by in favor of the Karloff film. Which is sad because Chaney's Kharis was the Mummy most kids from the 1960's were familiar with. it is Kharis, not Im-Ho-Tep who Hammer chose for their version of The Mummy in 1959, which may have contributed to this usage in marketing of the time as well.
