Vincent Price Self Caricature/Profile Signed

 In the late 1980's-early 1990's, Vincent Price was amazingly approachable, especially for a celebrity. As he collected autographs too, he always read and signed his fan mail. He obliged with requests for signatures ,as long as an SASE was sent with the items in question. He did this until his health became a paramount issue, and he had to stop personally replying. This is one of the things he did for me. It's 3x5 sheet of paper with self profile, signed. I have it  in a 5x7 frame.

 In 2010, a little customizer decided he wanted to see toys made from favorite films. He titled his "company" Distinctive Dummies. The rest is history.  Originally consisting of he, his wife, and other like minded folks who wanted certain characters to have plastic representation in their collections, DD grew to something of a collector phenomenon. Characters we fans thought would never see the light of day materialized. Wasp Woman, Boy Who Cried Werewolf, Louis Jordan as Dracula, and so many more became realities. Others have copied DD, but DD's reputation is astounding. I have done a lot with them in the role of freelance paint work, and as a creative consultant. These folks are top notch. Although they started their offerings in 1/6 scale, they rarely do 1/6 any longer. Their focus is now mainly "mego" scale. Their 1/6 offerings were usually quite impressive.
