Psycho Bust, Norman Bates 1/3 scale

 Bust of Norman Bates. Released via Squidkitz. Sculpted by Rus Lukich. Released in early 2000's. Resin (hollow) spun cast. Base has the steps leading up to their happy home sculpted on it. The nameplate is an aftermarket item done by Engraveyard, and not part of the kit as issued. Paintwork by me.

 In 2010, a little customizer decided he wanted to see toys made from favorite films. He titled his "company" Distinctive Dummies. The rest is history.  Originally consisting of he, his wife, and other like minded folks who wanted certain characters to have plastic representation in their collections, DD grew to something of a collector phenomenon. Characters we fans thought would never see the light of day materialized. Wasp Woman, Boy Who Cried Werewolf, Louis Jordan as Dracula, and so many more became realities. Others have copied DD, but DD's reputation is astounding. I have done a lot with them in the role of freelance paint work, and as a creative consultant. These folks are top notch. Although they started their offerings in 1/6 scale, they rarely do 1/6 any longer. Their focus is now mainly "mego" scale. Their 1/6 offerings were usually quite impressive.
