Don Post Calendar Mask, 1998: the Wolfman, Version A

  In 1998, Don Post Studios re-visited their most famous series of masks; The Universal Monsters series.

 They were (unofficially) called the "Calendar Masks".

Each mask in this re-release was limited to 498 editions.  

There were two versions of the Wolfman mask. Version A; which has a craggier face, and is the one I have pictured in my collection below, and version B which features smoother facial features.

Wolfman sports his original factory paint and hair, as he suffered none of the dreaded "mask rust".

 In 2010, a little customizer decided he wanted to see toys made from favorite films. He titled his "company" Distinctive Dummies. The rest is history.  Originally consisting of he, his wife, and other like minded folks who wanted certain characters to have plastic representation in their collections, DD grew to something of a collector phenomenon.
