Peter Cushing as Professor Van Helsing, Distinctive Dummies 1/6 Exclusive

 This Distinctive Dummies Van Helsing was bashed by me, and features a head painted by Martin Cage. It also features a box by The Toy Room. It's a 1/1 as this Van Helsing headsculpt, by the talented Steve Thompson, was used for DD's "Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires" 1/6 release.  I wanted this version to be representative of his appearance in the film "Dracula A.D. 1972". 


His bag features a variety of weapons used in the film. Including the shovel and cross stakes he destroys Dracula with at the end of the feature. Present also are the Holy Water vial and Bible, with crucifix wrapped around it, that he uses in the film also.


As a freelance painter for DD, Martin gave his official seal of approval on the project. My own personal, exclusive 1 of 1.  Check out his groovy neck scarf/ascot.

Opening the doors to the Manor House

Greetings Monster Movie Enthusiasts~~       An appropriately eerie manor house is so hard to find.  Sometimes we just have to fashion our own. So here we are. The purpose of this blog is quaint in its simplicity. I am a "monster kid".  I have been for over half a century. As such, I sat up late night on weekends (before the advent of vhs, dvd, blu ray, etc) watching as many of these old films as my young mind could....devour. Like any good monster kid, I also collect movie monster items. In addition to consuming said items, I also contribute to the hobby, as a free lance painter. Having done work for Distinctive Dummies, Creatures and Shadows Studios, Brentz Dolz and many others. Who knows, you may have some of my work in your own collection.       The monster kid era began in the 1960's and ran well into the late 1970's.
