House of the Long Shadows Movie Poster
This is a film that, in my opinion, doesn't get the credit it deserves. Is it a masterpiece??...well, no. Yet it hardly deserves to be ignored. Or lambasted, as some have over the years, in online reviews.
A scant 12 years after this film was released, three of its principal stars would be deceased. It is the only film that gathered the four of them together, and placed them in a picture where they could interact with, and actually share scenes with, one another. It is something of a throwback, and akin to what Roger Corman did in teaming the aging Karloff, Basil Rathbone, Peter Lorre and Vincent Price together in various vehicles.
It has a wonderfully painted poster. Most of them that I have seen over the years have these terrible folds. I managed to grab a rolled one, with only minimal wear. It spent ages tucked away in my catacombs, but recently I had it matted and framed. Now it has a place of honor.
