Gargoyles, The Made for TV Movie, 1972 Resin Model Kit by Alternative Images

 Captured in 1/6 scale, by Alternative Images. released in the 1990's. Unsure of the painter, as I purchased it assembled and painted. 


This kit was based off a 1972 made for TV movie of the same name. The film is a cult classic, and scared many of us half to death when it aired on late night tv in re-runs. It was originally released in 1972, but it must have be re-ran frequently on prime time.


 I was 5 when I saw it for the first time, and it was terrifying. Make up effects were by a very young Stan Winston, and features Grayson Hall from Dark Shadows in one of the supporting roles.


I recommend the film, as well as the kit.

 In 2010, a little customizer decided he wanted to see toys made from favorite films. He titled his "company" Distinctive Dummies. The rest is history.  Originally consisting of he, his wife, and other like minded folks who wanted certain characters to have plastic representation in their collections, DD grew to something of a collector phenomenon.
