Franklin Mint Psycho Cloche Covered Miniature Diorama
When it comes to Hitchcock's Psycho, there isn't as much in the way of collectible items as one might think. Usually when something nice is produced, it gets gobbled up quickly...and people tend to hang on to what they acquire. Case in point is Franklin Mint's Psycho Cloche Covered Miniature Diorama. This was available for an extremely limited period of time. Mailed in a plain white box, some had certificates, others were sent without. For whatever reason, this was one of Franklin Mint's more haphazard releases. Rumor has it some were sold in the Universal Studios Florida and California gift shops during the filming of Psycho 4, but I cannot confirm. It isn't dated. The diorama features many classic elements form the film. The House, the motel below, Marion's car, and of course Norman on the hill and a light painted in Mother's room. So she can keep an eye on things. This item, along with the Anton Tremblay piece by Microcosms and the figure sets by Rainman Artworks, and Distinctive Dummies is extremely tough to find. if you manage one...keep hold of it. If you ever find an extra certificate of authenticity, let me know.
